Data from nA and rA were not different (P >0.05).

Kittens had similar wound tenderness, but less affective pain than adults, and reproductive status had no effect.

The study is from the School of Veterinary Science, University of Liverpool, Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Polson S, Taylor PM, Yates D. J Feline Med Surg 2013 Sept 16 [Epub ahead of print].

A prospective clinical trial to compare the effects of age and reproductive status on postoperative pain was conducted in 145 female cats undergoing ovariohysterectomy using injectable anaesthesia.

[3
54,1295,1297,1291,1296,55
post-1502","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-abstracts","tag-abstracts-2","tag-kittens","tag-postoperative-pain","tag-reproduction","tag-reproductive-status","tag-research
A prospective clinical trial to compare the effects of age and reproductive status on postoperative pain was conducted in 145 female cats undergoing ovariohysterectomy using injectable anaesthesia.
{"3":
{"54":
abstracts
https://theveterinarian.com.au/?tag=abstracts-2"},"1295":
kittens
https://theveterinarian.com.au/?tag=kittens"},"1297":
postoperative pain
https://theveterinarian.com.au/?tag=postoperative-pain"},"1291":
reproduction
https://theveterinarian.com.au/?tag=reproduction"},"1296":
reproductive status
https://theveterinarian.com.au/?tag=reproductive-status"},"55":
"wpmagazine_modules_lite_featured_media_urls":
["GET
